ASTM F136 Titanium Bar, is a special titanium grade, Ti6AL4V Eli, Grade 23, and it is an important branch of medical material, which is a new carrier material with high technological content and economic value used for diagnosis, treatment, or replacement of human tissues, organs, or enhancement of their functions.
In medical metal materials, titanium alloys have become the preferred materials for medical implant products such as artificial joints (hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow, wrist, finger joints, etc.), bone trauma products (intramedullary nails, steel plates, screws, etc.), spinal corrective internal fixation systems, dental implants, dentures, orthodontic wires, artificial heart valves, interventional cardiovascular stents, etc., due to their excellent comprehensive performance. ASTM F136 covers the chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical requirements for wrought annealed titanium-6aluminum-4vanadium ELI (extra low interstitial) alloy (R56401) to be used in the manufacture of surgical implants.
Using Ti6AL4V Eli titanium bar to create artificial bones, cells can regenerate on it, bones can grow, and titanium has good affinity with human bone, epithelium, and tissue. In order to improve the surface quality of implant materials connected to human bones, applying a bioceramic layer to the roughened surface is also an effective method.

The Ti6AL4V Eli titanium bars of Baoji Yutong Metal Materials Co., Ltd. are made of grade 0 sponge titanium and cast into titanium ingots three times. After multiple high-temperature pier drawing and forging, the rod billets are hot-rolled to the required size, machined, drawn, heat treated, straightened, polished, and subjected to non-destructive testing. The finished rod material is then polished. ASTM F136 titanium bar has good biocompatibility, good corrosion resistance, high strength, and is widely used in clinical practice.
