Recently, Pangang Hongjian successfully completed the supply of 300kg of “hand-shred titanium” titanium material to Guohydrogen Technology Ningbo Lvdong Fuel Cell Co., Ltd., which is specially used for the production of hydrogen fuel cell bipolar plates.
This delivery signifies that Panzhihua Iron and Steel has initially developed batch supply capabilities in high-end sectors such as titanium for hydrogen energy. Bipolar plates are key core components of fuel cells. Titanium bipolar plates exhibit strong corrosion resistance, excellent conductivity, light weight, high strength, and high-temperature resistance. They represent a crucial technical direction for promoting the lightweight and miniaturization of fuel cells.
In order to conquer the titanium bipolar plate manufacturing technology, Panzhihua Iron and Steel Hongjian Company has spent 10 months of continuous research and development of titanium strip rolling technology relying on its own B750-20 roller mill system. It has successfully opened up key production processes and produced ultra-thin titanium strips for fuel cells. The product technical standards have reached the advanced level of domestic peers.
This supply not only reflects the company’s accumulated innovation in new material R&D and manufacturing processes, but also injects new impetus into the strengthening and replenishing of Panzhihua’s hydrogen energy industry chain.
